Serving as the point of contact and working collaboratively between military-connected students and their families and the campus.

• Maintaining familiarity with enrollment processes, records transfer, existing community resources, and student supports.
• Ensuring military-connected students are identified and properly coded through the Texas Student Data
• System Public Education Information Management System (TSDS PEIMS).
• Determining campus-based supports and services available to military-connected students based on their unique needs, including their high mobility.
• Assisting in coordinating campus-based programs relevant to military-connected students.
• Attending professional development or training annually to learn and understand topics related to the transition of military-connected students and their families.
• Providing professional development opportunities for staff & faculty to support military-connected students and their families better.

Relocation

In order to help our military-connected students adjust to a new school environment, we will be offering a variety of introductory services. Student-led programs and school administrators will help new military-connected students become aware of our core values, enrollment processes, tutoring services, and student code of conduct.

HSI El Paso - Elementary is a tuition-free public charter school focused on STEM education and serves students Pre-K-5th grade in El Paso, TX. Since HSI El Paso - Elementary opened its doors, we have reimagined traditional education to be more student-focused and STEM-based.

 Enrollment information for Extracurricular Activities and Clubs

Please click here to enroll in our empowerment and enrichment programs and you can enroll in any clubs or extracurricular activities. Discounted clubs and enrichment programs for military-connected students of active duty, National Guard, and Reserve Personnel. 

Note: Students in the tutoring programs are not eligible to participate in any clubs or extracurricular activities. 
 

Tutoring Opportunities

The Dean of Academics will inform students and parents at the end of the first month of the school year. All Students, Parents, and guardians will be informed of tutoring schedules by mail and email. 

Interventions and pullouts will be provided after the data meetings with students and teachers. 
Saturday tutoring will be available for the next school year of 2025-2026
 

Student Code of Conduct 

English and Spanish Student & Parent Handbooks are available online. A hard copy of the handbook may also be requested.

Enrollment and Registration

Step 1: You will create your username and password. Make sure to keep this information so you can log in again at a later date.

Step 2: You will be directed to the next page where you will enter your home address and select the school you are applying to.

Step 3: You will start your application and then submit it.

Registration: All eligible applications submitted by the application deadline are entered into the lottery, which is conducted per pre-approved guidelines. Students are selected based on pre-defined, Board-approved criteria such as sibling and staff priorities. Parents will be emailed if their child has been selected once the lottery is completed. Documents Needed:

• Applicant’s name (first, last, and middle names)
• Applicant’s birth date
• Applicant’s current grade level and grade applied for
• Applicant’s residential address
• Phone numbers
• Applicant’s parents’ name and signature
• Whether the applicant has a sibling already admitted or attending the school

Academic Placement:  Per the guidelines of the MIC3, students will be placed into the appropriate grade level based on their previous enrollment or educational assessment.

To qualify for kindergarten, your child must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year.

To qualify for 1st grade, your child must be 6 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year.
